A common problem is ‘tunnelling’ which we want to avoid at all costs. When first lighting your candle ensure you allow for an intial burn time of at least 3 hours or until the top layer of wax has melted all the way to the very edges of your amber vessel. Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time.
Do make sure that the candle is not in a draught. Don’t allow any debris to fall into the melted wax. Do allow the wax to return to it’s solid form before moving or relighting the candle. Do keep wicks trimmed to 5mm as this will ensure smoking is avoided and the candle burns evenly.
Do keep careful watch over your Finishing Store candle whilst in use. Don’t place in reach of children and pets, close to flammable materials and low hanging objects. Do store in a cool place to prevent wax from melting.
