The Finishing Store was conceptualised by an architect through their love of design elements that are Bold and Balanced. The brand imbues the belief that all the elements within a space should be functional and simultaneously create a visual experience that is pleasing to the eye. Our interior focused e-commerce store provides a curated platform to assist tastemakers in finishing any space through intentional design.

THE GOAL

The moving parts of your space should perform together like an orchestra: In harmonious proportion. All parts sing to each other and hold power in their intent: Through the addition of gentle texture into a space, moments of calm can be created and a freshly brewed cup of tea can be sipped at leisure in a chenille armchair; A patterned cushion can liven a neutral room; and the gift of breaking bread becomes an elevated experience when the table is laid with hand-embroidered Italian linen.

Our Team is here to assist you to bring your space to life. Our collaborative design service enables you to work alongside The Finishing Store interior creatives and architects, providing the opportunity for you to lean into their knowledge and assist you in curating your own Finished Space.

Through our Finishing Service, we provide you with statement pieces and considered design elements to embellish the narrative that exists within your space. With us, you can achieve an artful assembly of proportion, scale, contrast, detail and texture in your space.

Finish your space with our interior design team through the following steps:

INITIAL CONSULTATION

This is an opportunity for The Finishing Store interior creatives to come together with you, the client, to discuss your Finishing Project. This meeting can be conducted in person in your Finished Space, via virtual meeting platforms or at The Finishing Store meeting room in our studio.

This meeting will include a discussion of the existing elements in your space through floor plan documents, photographic and videographic footage of your space, and interior design references to guide us on your taste and preferences.  The project budget and timeline will be set at this meeting, with the opportunity to revisit at later points if the need arises.

INTERIOR DESIGN PLAN PRESENTATION

Our interior creative team will present an interior design plan for your space in a meeting to receive your feedback and approval. A review of the interior design choices and decor options will be considered in conjunction with digital drawings of your space.

PROJECT EXECUTION

Once final feedback and approval of the interior design plan and product wish list has been approved by both parties, a quote and lead time on the project will be issued. Our interior creative team will be present with you, throughout each step of the journey to ensure all decisions meet your approval and exceed your expectations.

FINISHED SPACE WALK-THROUGH

We would be delighted at the opportunity to experience your Finished Space with you at a time of day that suits you best, and which allows the space to be experienced in its fullness.

HOW IT WORKS

We offer an initial consultation on site to help kick-start the interior planning process. After this meeting, the applicable design fee is applied from the offering detailed above.
